PKR/USDT P2P Premium Tracker
What Pakistanis actually pay for USDT versus the official USD/PKR rate, measured daily from Binance P2P.
The premium is the gap between what a Pakistani actually pays for USDT on Binance P2P and the official USD/PKR reference rate. It is the closest available measure of what it really costs to move value out of the rupee — and nobody else publishes it for Pakistan.
Official rate 278.01 PKR/USD · P2P buy 286.00 · P2P sell 286.79

This tracker started on 2026-08-06. The table fills out as daily readings accumulate; trend commentary begins once there is a week of data.
What the number means
A positive premium means USDT trades above the official rate — demand to convert rupees into dollar-denominated value exceeds supply. This is the normal state in a market with capital controls and a managed exchange rate, and the size of the gap is a rough proxy for how much pressure the rupee is under.
A narrowing premium usually means either the official rate has moved toward the market, or dollar liquidity has improved. A widening one tends to precede or accompany currency stress.
Why this matters if you hold or send crypto
- Receiving remittances in USDT? The premium is roughly what you gain versus a formal transfer at the official rate — before counting P2P counterparty risk.
- Buying USDT with rupees? The premium is what you are paying above the official rate. A 3% premium on Rs 100,000 is Rs 3,000.
- Freelancer paid in crypto? This is the number that decides whether converting today or waiting is better.

Methodology
- Source: Binance P2P public advertisement search, PKR/USDT, top 20 ads per side.
- Price used: a trimmed median — the top and bottom 25% of ads are discarded before taking the median, so a single outlier cannot move the figure.
- Official rate: USD/PKR daily reference from the ExchangeRate API.
- Premium: the midpoint of P2P buy and sell medians, against the official rate.
- Collected: once daily at 14:00 PKT. Readings are never retroactively edited; a re-run replaces only that day.
