Website Privacy Policy

CryptoPakistan (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website cryptopakistan.com (the “Site”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.

This policy covers the website. The Crypto Pakistan mobile app for Android and iOS is covered separately, because it collects far less: see the app privacy policy.

This Privacy Policy explains:

  • what data we collect
  • how we use it
  • how we store it
  • your rights

By using CryptoPakistan, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1. Information You Provide Directly

When you:

  • subscribe to our newsletter
  • email us

We may collect:

  • name (optional)
  • email address
  • any message you send

We do not run comments on articles, and there is no contact form — the only form on the Site is the newsletter subscription. Everything else reaches us by email.

2. Automatically Collected Data

When you visit our site, we may automatically collect:

2.1. Analytics Data

Such as:

  • IP address
  • browser type
  • device type
  • pages visited
  • time spent on pages

We use tools such as:

  • Google Analytics, loaded via Google Tag Manager
  • Ghost’s built-in analytics
  • Cloudflare analytics

This data helps us improve performance and user experience.

3. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies for:

  • analytics
  • remembering preferences
  • improving site performance

You can disable cookies through your browser settings.

4. How We Use Your Information

We may use your information to:

  • Provide and improve our website
  • Send newsletters and updates
  • Respond to messages
  • Detect and prevent spam or abuse
  • Analyze site performance

We do NOT:

  • sell your data
  • share your data with advertisers
  • use your email for unsolicited promotions

5. How We Store & Protect Your Data

  • Your email and personal information are stored securely
  • Only authorized team members have access
  • We use industry-standard security (SSL, encryption, etc.)

However, no online service is 100% secure.

6. Third-Party Services

These are the services that actually process data on our behalf:

  • Mailgun — delivers our newsletter and member sign-in emails. Your email address is processed by Mailgun in order to send you mail you have asked for.
  • Ghost — the publishing platform that runs the Site and holds the newsletter subscriber list
  • Cloudflare — content delivery, security and analytics
  • Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) — audience measurement
  • Social media embeds, where an article includes a post from another platform
  • Paysats (Yaraf Digital LLC) — runs reading rewards; see 6a

These services may collect their own data following their privacy policies.

6a. Reading rewards (Paysats)

If you are a member and take part in reading rewards, the rewards are run by Paysats, published by Yaraf Digital LLC (United Arab Emirates), a separate company from CryptoPakistan. The rewards panel on article pages is served by Paysats from paysats.com.

Reading rewards are open only to members we have approved. When you are signed in, the site and the app ask Paysats whether rewards are open for your account; that request carries your email address in the sign-in token. Paysats keeps nothing from it, although paysats.com’s web server log records the request (IP address, browser and time) under its normal log rotation.

When you use rewards, we share with Paysats:

  • your email address, through a short-lived sign-in token that proves you are a CryptoPakistan member
  • the date you joined CryptoPakistan (rewards start a week after you join) and your email address's domain (throwaway addresses are refused)
  • which articles you open, so Paysats can time the read, and which ones you read to the end, so it can add sats to your balance

Paysats holds your rewards balance; a record of each rewarded article (which article, when, how long the read took, and the sats it earned); the Paysats name you link ([email protected]); and your withdrawals (amount, date, Paysats name and the wallet address paid). A first withdrawal is checked by hand before it is paid.

To stop one person collecting rewards through many accounts or through automated scripts, Paysats also stores the IP address and browser or device type of each rewards request against your rewards account. They are compared between accounts, never used to work out where you are, not used for advertising, and deleted after 90 days.

Deleting rewards data. Ask us ([email protected]) or Paysats ([email protected]) to delete your rewards data. Paysats then deletes your balance, your rewarded-article record, your linked Paysats name and the stored IP and device records. Withdrawals already paid are kept without your email address (amount, Paysats name, wallet address and date), because they record money that was actually sent. If a withdrawal is still being checked or sent, deletion waits until it has finished.

CryptoPakistan contains links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to:

  • access your data
  • request deletion
  • request correction
  • unsubscribe anytime

9. Children’s Privacy

CryptoPakistan does not target users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The updated date will appear at the top.
